Creator Terms & Payouts
How earnings, payouts, refunds, and the rules work when you sell a deck guide. Pricing a guide above $0 means you agree to these terms. Last updated June 5, 2026.
Earnings & fees
You set a guide's price — free, or between $5.00 and $100.00. When someone buys it, Choom.gg keeps a 15% platform fee and you earn the remaining 85% (your “net”).
Buyers pay exactly the price you set — Choom.gg adds no service fee on top, so your guide stays as affordable as you priced it.
Your running totals — lifetime sales, total earned, pending, and paid out — and a per-guide breakdown are always on your earnings page.
How and when you get paid
Payouts are handled manually by the Choom.gg team. You request a payout from your earnings page, and an admin reviews and approves the transfer. While we're in the current payout mode, approval can take up to 7 business days. There is no minimum balance; any positive balance can be paid.
- Set where you want your money sent in the Payout method card on your earnings page (e.g. a PayPal handle). We can't pay you until a valid destination is on file.
- Once you have a pending balance, use the Request a payout card to ask to be paid. It stays marked pending review until an admin approves it, and you can withdraw it any time before then.
- Your payment provider (PayPal, etc.) may charge its own fees on the transfer — those are outside Choom.gg's control.
- Newly earned funds may be held briefly before they're eligible for payout (see refunds below).
Refunds & chargebacks
Guides are digital goods delivered instantly, so they are generally non-refundable. We may still issue a refund case-by-case — for example a broken, mislabeled, or duplicate purchase, or a buyer dispute. If you have a problem with a purchase, contact us first.
- If a sale is refunded or charged back before you've been paid for it, that sale's earnings are simply removed from your balance.
- If it happens after you've been paid, the amount is deducted from your future earnings. Your balance can go negative until later sales cover it.
- Because a buyer can refund or charge back for some time after purchase, we may hold recent earnings briefly before they're eligible for payout.
- Excessive refunds, chargebacks, or signs of fraud can lead to held earnings and account review.
Your responsibilities
When you sell a guide, you confirm that:
- The guide is your own original work and you have the right to sell it.
- It delivers what it describes — accurate, genuine strategy content, not a misleading or empty listing.
- It doesn't contain anything illegal, infringing, hateful, or otherwise against Choom.gg's community rules, and isn't resold or copied from someone else.
- The payout details you provide are accurate and yours.
Violations & enforcement
If a guide or account breaks these terms, Choom.gg may — at its discretion — unpublish the guide, refund affected buyers, withhold or reverse related earnings, or suspend or remove the account. Serious or fraudulent violations may result in forfeiting pending earnings. We'll aim to be fair and, where reasonable, give you a heads-up first.
Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes on the money you earn from guides. Choom.gg does not currently issue tax forms (such as a 1099), so keep your own records of your earnings and payouts. If that changes, we'll update this page.
These terms may change as the guide program grows; continuing to sell guides means you accept the current version. Questions about your earnings or a payout? Use the Report Bug / Feedback option on your profile and we'll help.
