In the latest episode of the Cyberdeck Podcast (Episode 8), Lead Game Designer David McDarby joined the hosts to dive deep into the color identities of Red and Green. To illustrate these mechanics, the team pulled back the curtain on four brand-new cards that are set to shake up the meta.

Red Identity: Maximize & Power

Red is all about cranking the volume to 11, focusing on raw power and big numbers.

• Royce: This 5-cost unit (2 Red RAM) is a "removal on a stick." When played, he defeats a unit with 2 power or less—or a unit with 3 power or less if you currently hold higher Street Cred than your rival.

• Carnage at the Colosseum: A 6-cost (3 Red RAM) program that captures the essence of a Brain Dance. It allows you to defeat a rival unit with less power than one of your own, with a cost-reduction mechanic that makes it cheaper for every friendly gig you control with a value of 8 or higher.

Green Identity: Reflexes & Alignment

Green prioritizes surgical precision, focusing on value pairs and board control.

• Sandalu Oda: Hanako’s Guardian is a 7-cost (2 Green RAM) unit with 8 power. His strength lies in his ability to spend a rival unit for each of your friendly value pairs, effectively opening up the board for his own aggressive attacks.

• Peace Offering: A deceptively simple 1-cost (1 Green RAM) program. It allows you to set one gig's value to match another, and if you have a value pair, you get to draw a card. It’s a masterclass in board manipulation and card cycling.

These reveals offer a glimpse into the strategic depth of the Cyberpunk TCG as the team continues to iterate based on community feedback. Which of these will you be splashing into your next deck?
